Robinhood Buys: 7/20/2021 (After Hours Edition)

Aw yeah.  Cue up that Barry White, pour yourself a glass of wine (although Pepsi's better) and make yourself comfortable.

Vanguard High Dividend Yield ETF (VYM): $2

Johnson & Johnson (JNJ): $2

Vanguard Total Market ETF (VTI): $2

McDonalds (MCD): $2

Vanguard US REIT ETF (VNQ): $2

Chevron (CVX): $2

Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO): $2

Target (TGT): $2

Vanguard Utilities ETF (VPU): $2

Verizon (VZ): $2

Normally, I prefer to make my stock buys during market hours.  However, with the market taking a dive today and my working during the day tomorrow, I figured I'd be a little different this time and put in some buys now to take advantage.  I also made some buys on E-Trade, but I'll log those when I do the dividend post.

Robinhood Buys: 7/15/2021

Moar

PepsiCo (PEP): $3

Invesco/Powershares High Dividend Low Volatility ETF (SPHD): $3

Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO): $3

Paychex (PAYX): $3

Lockheed Martin (LMT): $3

Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF (SCHD): $3

Starbucks (SBUX): $6

Vanguard Dividend Appreciation ETF (VIG): $3

Vanguard S&P 500 Growth ETF (VOOG): $3

A double-header! I don't think I've done back to back days before.  Considering the lagging first half of the month, it's a good way to get back up to speed. No new positions, just touching on already existing ones.  I made a point not to repeat any from yesterday.  What's the expression, "spread the wealth"?  The site glitched, triggering another double buy on Starbucks.  It's mildly irritating, but not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things.

Robinhood Buys: 7/14/2021

Finally, it seems like forever since I was able to do this.

Johnson & Johnson (JNJ): $3

Vanguard High Dividend Yield ETF (VYM): $3

J.M. Smucker (SJM): $3

Realty Income (O): $3

Verizon (VZ): $3

IBM (IBM): $3

Hewlett Packard (HPQ): $3

Exxon Mobil (XOM); $3

SJW Group (SJW): $3

Campbell's Soup (CPB): $3

Surprisingly few ETF additions this time around. VYM was it, and other than that, it was just individual holdings.  I did add two new positions in HP and IBM. They fit with the new positions added last time.  Feels good to get back into it.

June 2021 Dividend Income: Quarter End Came to Play

Give me the beat, boys, and free my soul.  I want to get lost....in dividends. Yes, another month has passed and we are officially in the second half and/or the third quarter of 2021.  As such, it's time to log the dividends.  Now, for most, the quarter end is the big, high paying month.  Historically, however, the quarter end is my weakest of the bunch.  It's bizarro, but it still seems to be working.  Could this month throw a curve ball?  Let's find out, shall we?

Kroger (KR): $1.14  (+$0.01 QoQ, +$0.15 YoY)

SJW Group (SJW): $0.37 (+$0.02 QoQ, +$0.05 YoY)

J.M. Smucker (SJM): $0.02

Nasdaq Covered Call ETF (QYLD): $0.06 (+$0.05 QoQ)

Pfizer (PFE): $0.79 (+$0.40 QoQ)

Johnson & Johnson (JNJ): $0.22 (+$0.10 QoQ)

AGNC: $0.32 (+$0.02 QoQ, +$0.18 YoY, same as last month)

Exxon Mobil (XOM): $1.01 (+$0.12 QoQ)

Target (TGT): (+$0.04 QoQ)

Emerson (EMR): $0.17 (+$0.07 QoQ)

Chevron (CVX): $0.04

Lumen Technologies (LUMN): $0.56 (+$0.01 QoQ)

Walgreen's Boots Alliance (WBA): $0.97 (+$0.01 QoQ, +$0.51 YoY)

GlobalXSuperdividend (SDIV): $0.04 (+$0.02 QoQ)

Yum! (YUM): $0.04

3M (MMM): $0.22 (+$0.09 QoQ)

Realty Income (O): $1.08  (+$0.04 QoQ, +$0.10 YoY, +$0.03 from last month)

Wendy's (WEN): $0.83 (+$0.09 QoQ, +$0.47 YoY)

ConEd (ED): $0.30 (+$0.13 QoQ)

Stag Industrial (STAG): $0.01 (---)

Main Street Capital (MAIN): $0.02 (+$0.01 QoQ)

McDonald's (MCD): $0.18 (+$0.05 QoQ)

VF Corporation (VFC): $1.01 (+$0.01 QoQ, +$0.52 YoY)

Flowers Foods (FLO): $1.13 (($0.05 QoQ, +$0.09 YoY)

Vanguard Utilities ETF (VPU): $0.20

Vanguard High Dividend Yield ETF (VYM): $0.52 ($0.18 QoQ)

Vanguard Dividend Appreciation ETF (VIG): $0.24 (+$0.12 QoQ)

Kraft Heinz (KHC): $0.81 (+$0.41 QoQ)

Lockheed (LMT): $0.06

Vanguard US REIT Fund (VNQ): $0.32 (+$0.14 QoQ)

Wisdom Tree (DON): $0.02 (+$0.01 QoQ)

Vanguard Total Market ETF (VTI): $0.19 (+$0.03 QoQ)

That brings the sub-total in the taxable accounts to $12.99, up $2.58 from last quarter and up $7.93 from last year.

Of course, now we have to cover the 401K, those dividends are as follows

Baird Aggregate Bond Fund: $0.91

DFA US Small Cap Fund: $0.80

American EuroPacific Growth Fund: $15.54

Two of these are bi-annual payers, having paid in December, but not in March.  The small cap fund is actually down a bit.  That Europacific Growth fund, though,  I don't know where that number came from.  It paid a little more than a dollar six months ago.  Maybe some kind of special dividend came into play.  It doesn't give me specifics.  We'll have to see what happens both in December and next June.  We could have a fifth mid-quarter month on our hands.  I find it hard to believe that type of spike  (or even that kind of number this early) is going to be a routine occurrence, but we'll see what happens.

The 401K chipped in $17.25 total.

Adding these together, we get a grand total of $30.24 in dividend income this month.

Interest chipped in $2.71

The buys on Robinhood were lighter than usual (you can read about those here, here, here, here and here).  However, the E-Trade account tagged in and provided a bit of momentum of its own.  In that wing, I added single shares of Kinder Morgan (KMI), AT&T (T), and a new position, SpartanNash (SPTN).

The portfolio hasn't been updated yet.  Enough moves have been made where one is warranted, I just haven't had the chance to actually sit down and do it.  It should happen some time in the near future, though.

All in all, this was a strong ending for the first half of the year.  Not a record breaker, but a worthy showing that is more fitting of the quarter ends that other investors may be used to.
